A poetic boat trip through the nightly Spreewald

The visual magicians from Berlin return and show a new punt-production in the nocturnal Spreewald!

The barges glide silently through the night. The journey continues deeper and deeper into the water forest, along the dark river.

A nocturnal boat trip into the Moranic world: The Moorts is as important for the small Moran people as the air for us humans to breathe. It grows like a mushroom plexus in the forests of MoraLand. Invisible to the eye, one can hear it in the wind, recognize it in the leaf structure of the trees and listen to the birds as they tell of the miro d pia, the seed guardians of the fog lake.

Curious lampshade figures, show booth wonders, a vibrating apparatus and other astonishing things tell of the wondrous culture of the Morans – and all this on and in the flows of the Spreewald!

MORALAND is the third boat trip staged for the Spreewald by Theater ANU. With its dreamlike “water adaptation” of SCHATTENWALD (2015) and the surreal pictures of WASERMYTHEN (2017) the company is looking forward to a fantastic reunion!
