Delmenhorst | So close to heaven
Castle Island Dreams 2026
Trees bathed in light have faces, puddles of water reflect mysteriously shimmering
Worlds, burning shoes climb a ladder towards the sky... Theater ANU takes the visitors on an installation course of light, sound, sculpture and live performance. A journey to the ultimate questions, to beginnings and endings, to the child we once were, who never gives up hope, to celebrate life. Philosophical. Profound. Sensual. Poetic.
Visitors to this year’s Burginselträume can look forward to audio stories and poems by classical authors such as Ovid, Pythagoras and Rilke, as well as the poetic texts of ANU author Stefan Behr, combined with storytelling, physical theatre, and light, video and sculpture installations.

Rain
The event will go ahead even in light rain (except in the event of severe weather, storms, etc.). We recommend sturdy footwear and rainwear. Please refrain from bringing umbrellas. The route does not always follow paved paths. Unfortunately, this means the production is only partially accessible. If the event has to be cancelled due to weather conditions before one hour of the performance has elapsed, the ticket entitles the holder to admission to another performance of *DEM HIMMEL SO NAH*, subject to availability.
