LOVE, LUST AND PASSION - WOMEN FROM MYTHE AND MÆR
A labyrinth installation for the Weißenfels Museum Night
Around 2000 lit candles form the stage for extraordinary women's stories: Undine. A physical performance behind 200 preserving jars filled with water. It tells the story of Hans and her, a love story and a story of the incompatibility of man and woman... Sheherazade. A bed. A woman. A mask on the back of her head and a blindfold. She voluntarily gives herself up to the hard-hearted caliph Shahriyâr every night and then tells the story so seductively, excitingly, vividly and powerfully that she doesn't have to be beheaded at sunrise - she succeeds for 1001 nights. Quite different in the Norse mythologyWild guys, fearless gods, invincible beings from the realm of the dead and the giant world. But there are also strong women who call the shots here.
The labyrinth is open for 1.5 hours, each performance lasts between 10 and 15 minutes and is played in a loop during the labyrinth opening time.
