Darmstadt | 100 Years of Bauhaus
We are pleased to present our performance PERPTUUM MOBIE / Paul Scheerbart as part of the BAUWHAT? festival. The performance can be seen, among other things, at the big BAUHAUS festival in Dessau / 100 years of BAUHAUS on 13 and 14 September.
Day and night I keep seeing wheels before my eyes - whatever else I may think besides - always wheels, wheels - it is almost uncanny.

Inspired by the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus, the Staatstheater Darmstadt is exploring the relevance of the avant-garde art school in a varied programme from 17 to 29 June. On stage are the world-famous Triadic Ballet and works by copy&waste, F. Wiesel, Waste of the World by Thomas Köck or the German premiere of the dance piece From Bauhaus to Playhouse by Storm to experience. Numerous lectures by Bauhaus experts place the basic ideas of the historic Bauhaus in a contemporary context, and on the two festival Saturdays Georg Büchner Platz will become a festival meadow.
BAUWHAT? - In addition to the numerous performances of the performing arts, the Staatstheater is bidding farewell to the historic Bauhaus and, in cooperation with DIESE Studio and Florian Walzel from the h_da, is founding a Summer School for current interdisciplinary art and design with students. From 17 June, the process and results of this Summer School can be experienced on Georg-Büchner-Platz.
