Every 500 metres a light was lit on the rampart, along the entire 113 km of rampart, from Newcastle to Wallsend.
Order
Theater Anu staged with Angel Land the "Opening", the beginning of the illumination in Newcastle on an old Roman fort. The fort now houses a museum with a modern observation tower.
