Sheherazade (world premiere)
In the labyrinth of 1001 canopies
13-22 May 2016

More than 1000 canopies float weightlessly above the meadow. Like ghosts, sublime and yet melancholic. If you want to know what they are all about, you have to enter the labyrinth and walk the winding paths.

Theater Anu - the makers of SCHATTENWALD - has created two new worlds of experience with SHEHERAZADE: During the day, visitors enter a maze of 1001 canopies. Together with the boy Yunus, they search for the way to the legendary city of storytellers. In the evening, the labyrinth is transformed into this mysterious city: a tent city with winding alleys, magnificent rooms and fantastic inhabitants. The most important storytellers once lived there, telling tales against the threats of the world in the spirit of the great master Sheherazade.
